It's applied like face paint: dots on the cheeks, circles across the face, or even as fun designs like stripes or swirly leaves to add a cool factor.

For centuries, the people of Myanmar have slathered thanaka, a thick, silky paste made from ground tree bark, on their faces to protect them from the sun.

Fully loaded in Bangkoks Chinatown! Vespa models Fully loaded in Bangkoks Chinatown!

Vespa models landed in Bangkok over 50 years ago and were first adopted by Thai-Chinese denizens in the commercial hive of Bangkok’s Chinatown for their indestructible nature and workhorse engines.

Vespa is today also a top choice amongst Bangkok’s more discerning motorbike enthusiasts due to its elegant Italian design and dolce vita lifestyle image.

Those are the words of therapist Loredana. She has worked in the Dorohoi day center in Romania for 18 years. Currently, she has 22 students she works with in group therapy and individually. It is always great to meet dedicated people like Loredana; it is such a inspiration!

Here are some images from my latest visit to Dorohoi in March.
